Weyinmi Etchie, CPA, established Guidepost to change that. With 15+ years of dedicated experience in auditing and accounting, including a career foundation at a Big Four firm, Weyinmi saw the opportunity to build something different—a full service CPA firm with an independent mortgage advisory practice that combines deep industry specialization with premium quality service at a fair price.
Operating from San Francisco and Walnut Creek, Guidepost serves mortgage companies across all 50 states. We help brokers, lenders, and servicers navigate complex audits, expand into new markets, and optimize their financial operations. Every engagement reinforces our commitment to being a true partner in your success.
Today, Guidepost is a full service CPA firm with an independent mortgage advisory practice, giving us the flexibility to specialize while maintaining access to comprehensive accounting and tax resources. This unique position allows us to deliver industry-specific expertise without the overhead of a national firm.

Weyinmi brings 15+ years of dedicated experience in auditing and accounting, including foundational years at a Big Four firm. As a CPA and specialist in mortgage compliance, licensing, and taxation, he founded Guidepost to deliver the specialized expertise mortgage companies deserve. His commitment to understanding the unique challenges of wholesale operations, escrow accounting, and multi-state expansion has made him a trusted advisor to dozens of mortgage firms.
